Carrot Cake Protein Oats
|1/4 cup||rolled oats|
|1/2 scoop||Kaizen Naturals® Vegan Protein Vanilla Bean|
|1||large carrot (grated)|
|1/3 cup||egg whites (optional)|
|1 tbsp||ground flax (optional)|
|3/4 - 1 cup||almond milk|
|1 1/2 tsp||cinnamon|
|apple sauteed in coconut oil with cinnamon and nutmeg|
|unsweetened shredded coconut|
Makes 1 serving
- In a non-stick saucepan on medium heat, bring all ingredients except protein powder and toppings to a low boil, stirring often.
- When oatmeal reaches a low boil, reduce heat, and add Kaizen Naturals® Vegan Protein Vanilla Bean, continuing to stir often (you can also add more almond milk at this time, if desired).
- Once oatmeal is fully cooked, transfer to a bowl, and add toppings of choice.
