
Carrot Cake Protein Oats
Ingredients
1/4 cup | rolled oats |
1/2 scoop | Kaizen Naturals® Vegan Protein Vanilla Bean |
1 | large carrot (grated) |
1/3 cup | egg whites (optional) |
1 tbsp | ground flax (optional) |
3/4 - 1 cup | almond milk |
1 1/2 tsp | cinnamon |
1/2 tbp | nutmeg |
Toppings (optional)
apple sauteed in coconut oil with cinnamon and nutmeg | |
unsweetened shredded coconut | |
cacao nibs | |
nut butter | |
chia seeds |
Recipe
Makes 1 serving
- In a non-stick saucepan on medium heat, bring all ingredients except protein powder and toppings to a low boil, stirring often.
- When oatmeal reaches a low boil, reduce heat, and add Kaizen Naturals® Vegan Protein Vanilla Bean, continuing to stir often (you can also add more almond milk at this time, if desired).
- Once oatmeal is fully cooked, transfer to a bowl, and add toppings of choice.
- Enjoy!
